With rain on Friday - and rain again on Sunday - the Lord gave us a marvelous day without rain for the Church Music Workshop North on Saturday, January 26.
We has 235 people attend this year's workshop and be encouraged in 16 different workshop classes. Our featured guest, Craig Adams, led in worship and taught a workshop on writing worship songs.
At the closing worship session, 3 of our classes shared in the experience while Craig Adams led in musical worship. The drama class shared with us, the worship dance class interpreted a
Psalm with music, and then two young men shared a song they wrote that afternoon in the song writing class.
Special thanks for Merril Smoak and the Jazz band and workers from
Trinity Baptist Church for hosting us once again. The church location and hosting attitude is perfect for these events, and I appreciate their giving and serving spirit.
There were 17 Senior Pastors who took advantage
of our "Sr. Pastor Free with 3" paid registrants from their church promotion. Rod Wiltrout, Stewardship & Finance Specialist, CSBC, spent the day encouraging pastor's about their personal finances and then how worship and stewardship go hand in hand to encourage and grow the congregation.

Remember, this event is always the last Saturday in January each year ... so in 2009 ...
